Wet Sand Marble

Place a piece of 120 grit sandpaper on the pad of a palm sander. While this method will work fine for statues tile and marble countertops sanding large areas of marble like marble floors requires a completely different process and technique. By wetting the marble before you sand you ll give the dust something to stick to so it will form a paste rather than flying into the air where you could inhale it. You can polish the flooring either by dry sanding or wet sanding.

Fill a clean spray bottle with plain water and spray a light coating of water over the marble. Marble floor polishing can remove small scratches. Depending on the type of marble crystal size impurities etc you may want to go higher.
